Product photography - Packshot

The aim of product photography is to showcase a product by illustrating its features, details and functions.
These photographs are used for online shops and social networks, as well as for product catalogues and brochures, magazines and billboards.

Enhance your company’s image and brand with the help of professional product photography.

Product photography is one of the most important elements of a product’s marketing policy, as these photos should represent your products and highlight their unique qualities and details, which differentiate them from those of your competitors. Thus, a good photograph can encourage an undecided customer to buy your products.

Types of product photography shoots

Packshot

Packshot photography is suitable for all types of products.
During a packshot shooting, we photograph the products alone against a white background (or another colour of your choice).
For clothing, we realize ‘flat lay’ photos as well as ‘ghost’ photos.

In a ‘flat lay’ packshot shoot, the products are pinned to a support and photographed vertically. This type of photography highlights the texture and eliminates any unwanted wrinkles.

In what regards “ghost” packshots, these photo shoots are also known as “invisible mannequin” or “ghost mannequin”. This type of photography renders clothes in their full volume without the mannequin being visible. A specially designed mannequin is dressed in the clothes to reproduce the desired silhouette (man, woman or child).

Still life

Commercial still life photography aims at showcasing your products through an artistic setting.

E-commerce

E-commerce photos are used on the websites of online stores. These photos allow potential customers to see the products being worn, and thus help them make purchasing decisions.

Lookbook

Lookbook photos present your products in a creative, original, and at the same time representative manner for your brand. In this case too, the products are worn by models.

Campaign

A campaign photo shoot is the process of producing images to advertise a brand of a product. The resulting photos are used in advertising campaigns distributed via social media, billboards or print media.

How will a product photography session unfold in our packshot photo studio?

First, we will discuss about your products and your project. We will explain the different types of product photography, the advantages and limitations of each of them, to help you choose the photo shoot that best meets your requirements and is most suitable for your products.

Réception

You can bring the products to our packshot photo studio if you wish to attend the session. Our photographer will help you prepare the products and will arrange the setting. Otherwise, you can send the products by mail, and we will receive and prepare them for the session.

Shooting

We will prepare each session in detail to meet your expectations. Our experienced team will photograph each product. If you or a representative of your company is present during the shoot, we can connect the camera to our IMAC so you can view the raw results (before retouching) in real-time.

Post-production

The post-production process involves editing the photographs using specialized tools such as Photoshop and Lightroom. The goal is to enhance the images by correcting imperfections.

Photo Delivery

We will send you the photos in high resolution in the desired format (JPEG, PNG…) and at the required size. Before uploading the photos to your website, consider the impact they can have on your site’s search engine optimization (SEO) and how you can use them to improve your search results.
